Meet Information
*Athletes are limited to one running event (includes a relay) and one field event.
In the shot put, teams are limited to 3 athletes per gender
*In all events there will be separate competition for freshman, sophomore and varsity athletes.
*PSAL assigned I.D. numbers must be worn by all competitors
*The “six-twelve” rule is in effect for this meet. This rule requires that all PSAL teams must maintain a minimum of twelve athletes on roster, six of whom must compete on the day of a PSAL meet.
*Any athlete who competes with a competitor number other than his/her own will be disqualified from the meet.
*Check- in cards are required for all events. Cards must be completely filled out and include the PSAL I.D. number of each athlete.
* In the high jump and pole vault, frosh, soph and varsity athletes will compete together
*In all events, girls will compete first, freshman, sophomore then varsity.
*Medals will be awarded to the top five freshman and sophomore finishers and top three varsity finishers.
*In the long jump boys and girls will compete at the same time on separate runways. *Open pits will be used. Each competitor will receive 3 jumps.
**Open pit- The long jump will be run as an open pit. When the event is called, ALL contestants for the event must sign- in, get their steps and run-throughs. Once competition starts, only run-backs (from the board back to the runway) are permitted. No run-throughs into the pit are permitted. When the pit is closed, a “time for competition” will be determined by the Referee in conjunction with meet management. It is the responsibility of the athlete to take his/her jumps during this time. The athlete must wear their assigned PSAL number. *Although not a mandated meet, this event may be credited to the indoor track requirement of 10 meets for the 2010-11 season.
NO SPIKES ARE ALLOWED AT THIS MEET
