WARWICK – So many scenarios could have replayed his mind. Flash back to the 4x800 at the state championships. Flash back to the sprint medley at nationals, the 4x800 at nationals. Those races Fordham Prep’s Michael Jennings had to watch a few of the biggest races of his scholastic career slip through his fingers like sand. $1000 prize for sub 4:00 mileThe Purple Wave Foundation has just announced a cash award of $1000 for the first finisher under 4:00 in the open mile to be run immediatley after the Fast Times Track Classic on Monday, June 1st. The meet is held on the "Tim St. Lawrence Speedway" track at Warwick Valley High School in Warwick, NY. The entry fee is $25.00 and entitles you to all you can eat at the award winning concession stand. The field will be limited to the top 12 -14 who can verify that they have run under 4:10.
