In order for PSAL athletes and teams to qualify for the 2018  Indoor City Championships the standards below must be attained, there are no provisional  standards.

FIELD EVENTS

* Boys pole vault at 9:15 am followed by girls. 

* Shot put (girls followed by boys), begins at 9:00am

*Weight throw (girls followed by boys), begins at the completion of the shot put

* Long jump (girls & boys will jump simultaneously) begins at 9:00 am.

* Triple jump (girls & boys will jump simultaneously) follows the completion of the long jump.

* High jump begins upon the completion of the hurdles at both ends of the infield

MEET RULES

* If for any reason, an athlete remains entered in more than three events the athlete must compete in the first three events as listed in the order of events. If an athlete has not scratched and misses their event they are out of the remainder of the meet. An athlete may not be listed as an alternate on a relay, compete in three events and then compete in the relay final. An athlete who violates the three event limit provision will be disqualified from all events in which he/she participated.

Relay team reminder: Read carefully and plan accordingly.

* At the City Championship relay teams must include the same athletes who met the qualifying standard or were listed on the initial entry card. A school that qualifies more than one team may use any of the individuals who qualified on their teams. If changes occur, the seed time for these teams must be adjusted downward.

* No check in cards for the individual events will be required at the time of clerking into individual events Athletes must physically check in with their PSAL number visible. 

* All relay teams must turn in check in cards that contain the name of the school, a seed time and PSAL I.D. numbers for each participant. 

* Scoring will be on a 10-8-6-4-2-1 system.

* Medals will be awarded to the top six finishers in each event. Plaques to the top three teams. PSAL Championship banners and hats will be awarded to the winning schools.

* An award will be given to the outstanding running and field athlete in each division. These athletes will be selected by members of the media in attendance.

* The shot put, weight throw, long jump and triple jump trials will consist of three attempts. The top seven will advance to a final of three additional attempts. The best mark among all attempts in the trials and finals will be used to determine final places
