HORNELL INVITATIONAL TRACK & FIELD MEET

Start: 5:00 PM (Coaches’ Meeting: 4:30 PM)

(3) Combined Boys' & Girls' Points

Individual: (1) Medals for 1st-3rd individual events and 1st relays
(2) Ribbons for 4th-6th individual events and 2nd-6th relays
(3) Plaques for Boy & Girl MVP Track, Field performers

ENTRY FEE: Both Boys’ and Girls’ Teams: $ 175
Individual Boys' or Girls’ Teams: $ 100
Individual Boys' or Girls' entries: $ 20 per athlete (if less than $ 100)

DEADLINE: Registration form must be received by Wednesday, April 19th, 2017
(no team will be added after this date).
Check or voucher must accompany the registration form.

ENTRIES: Dependent upon number of teams entered.
Regardless of number of teams entered, shot put, discus, pole vault, 3000/3200, and steeplechase competitors will be limited (see details below) and one relay team is permitted per school (relay entries should include all possible runners with a maximum of 6).

If fewer than 13 teams: Four entries per individual event
If fewer than 17 teams: Three entries per individual event
If more than 16 teams: Two entries per individual event

EVENTS: We will run the Sectional event order with steeplechase and finals in the 100, 200, and 100/110 hurdles. Sorry, no pentathlon. **We are still negotiating, but we MAY add a throwers’ relay (either a 4x100 or a combined throws distance). You will be informed when we send out entry information. **

TRACK: 1/8” spikes only on all track and runways
The meet will be run under the N.Y.S.P.H.S.A.A. rules.

SEEDING:
(1) F.A.T. will be provided by Wellsville Track and Field. All athlete entries will be completed on MileSplit.

(2) Scratches will be allowed, but no additions. Also, there will be no re-seeding if athletes are scratched!

(3) Notice regarding the shot put, discus, steeplechase, and 3200/3000 meter runs. Submit up to maximum allowed based on meet enrollment. However, because of time and facility limitations, the following will occur to facilitate meet management:


(A) Shot put and discus: The level of competition will determine the field, with a minimum of 32 (4 flights of 8) and a maximum of 40 (4 flights of 10). Flights will be ordered from highest to lowest seed. Throwers in the top one or two flights (as determined by thrower skill) will receive four throws in these respective events (no finals). The remaining flights will have two or three throws based on lighting conditions.

(B) Pole Vault: As stated above for throwing events, we will make a judgment based on quality of jumpers and total number of entries.

(C) Steeplechase and 3200/3000 meter runs: We will limit entries to create one heat of each with a manageable number of runners (we have traditionally capped at 24). Runners with the best seed times will be selected.

(4) All correspondence will be made via e-mail. It is important that your updated e-mail addresses be returned with the registration form.
IMPORTANT: Deadline for registration is Wednesday, April 19th, 2017.

All entries must include prepayment or voucher. NO EXCEPTIONS!
