2017 UTICA Challenge
Indoor T&F Invitational
All entries will be done through ny.milesplit.com
1. Fee schedule is: $175 for co-ed schools or $100 single sex teams ($25 for any
individual athlete) Payment to:

2. All teams must drop-off at the end of the Utica College Bubble behind the football
stadium at the overhead door entrance no earlier than 3:45pm. Scratch by 4:00,
coaches meeting 4:15, gun goes off 4:30. We CANNOT hold the start up. Please
plan your line-up accordingly.
3. Teams must set up their camps on the adjacent turf field and stay out of the
competition areas unless competing. All athletes should be AWARE of their
surroundings at all times for safety.
4. Facility is 8-lane 200 meter track (1/4 spikes allowed) same surface for jumps.
5. Utica College has TWO LJ/TJ pits, TWO PV systems and TWO throwing circles (one
with a cage for weight throw) all will be in use at the same time in order to
expedite the meet (see diagram below).
6. Any facility / protest issues will be handled by the meet director:
(Coach Norm Deep Jr. Clinton) and a games committee TBD
7. Coaches: please police your teams area at all times (garbage etc.)
8. All other NYSPHSAA, Section III and NF rules apply.
9. NO starting blocks allowed (dont even bring them in!) Blocks WILL be provided.
10. Scoring will be: 10 8 6 5 4 3 2 1 (8 places)
- Separate Boys overall team Score
- Separate Girls overall team score
- Special over-all by NYSPHSAA Section Challenge score!

Entries WILL close on Tuesday 1/24/17 at midnight!
There will be ENTRY LIMITS on events. All entries MUST be verifiable times/distances. No extrapolations.
An accepted entries list will be posted by noon on 1/25/17 at
www.leonetiming.com. Coaches must check this list to find out which entries have been accepted into the meet. Only those entries listed will be allowed to compete.
From that point onthis meet will be SCRATCHES ONLY!!
Important Bus Driver Info:
Coaches: Please share this information with your drivers as well as youre A.D.s
Any schools violating these procedures will be banned from this meet in the future.
Drop off MUST follow this pattern:
1) Follow the access road to the dome.
2) Move immediately to the RIGHT and follow a path
Completely AROUND the back of the dome until you
Come back to the overhead door entrance.
3) A U.C. staff member MUST let you in & out.
4)Exit through the small turn-around circle to
make your way back up the access road.
5)Proceed to the designated parking area.
Pick up ABSOLUTELY must follow this pattern:
1) Again, follow the access road back to the dome.
2) Move immediately to the RIGHT and follow a path
Completely AROUND the back of the dome until you
Come back to the overhead door entrance.
3)Load your team and Exit through the small turn-
around circle to make your way back up the
access road and out.
3) If your team is NOT fully loadedyou MUST
(NO EXCEPTIONS)continue around the dome all
the way back around again to the end of the line until you have your team and are ready to leave.
4) This will be a continuously moving circle until you exit with your team.
5) Fully loaded buses cannot be trapped in the middle of a static, non-moving line.
6) If your bus is fully loaded, honk your horn to the driver ahead of you so that the lead bus (if NOT fully loaded) MUST continue around the dome and go the back of the line.
7) Unless flashing lights for loading are onthis should be a continuously moving line of buses.
8) Do not call for your driver unless you are lined up and ready to leave for real.
9) Any attempt to leave through the overhead doors without a U.C. staff member controlling it may result in deflation of the dome.
