Dear Coach,

The Mansfield University Track and Field team will host the 12th Annual Molly Dry Memorial Invitational in honor of Mansfield Universitys first track and field coach.
This springs date is Friday April 10th with a start time of 4:00 PM. This will be the first ever under the light meet in school history and we have some special plans to make this a great event. For those of you who have been attending regularly, thank you for coming and for those who have been away a year or two we would love to welcome you back. I hope all of the teams were pleased with our new upgraded facility last year.
Last years meet was a huge success with great weather and a spirited team competition. We always want to do better though and here are some changes and improvements you can expect this year. The Throwing area is now complete with TWO discus cages. We will be able to run the discus, shot and the javelin simultaneously.
We will return to awarding medals for places 1-3 and ribbons 5-8. Entries will be limited to two individuals per team but will consider performances for exceptional (state level) additional performers. So far the initial response to moving the meet to a Friday night has been overwhelmingly positive and we are excited to show case our full facility.
We will also be limiting the teams to 2 entrants per event. Minimum performance standards for entrants are as follows:
The cost for this years Invitational will be 150.00 per team per single gender combined programs 250.00. Have checks made out to MANSFIELD UNIVERSTY TRACK AND FIELD. You can bring the checks with you or mail them to:

Last year we had 16 teams competing. We are hopeful to see a number of returning teams, as well as, some new schools. Meet information

3:00 Coaches meeting: Van Norman Field House
Coffee and Donuts in the Afternoon

Tents: Allowed on either side of stadium seating. Any tents located in the bleachers must be set up in the top row only.

There should be no athletes, other than current participants on the infield.

Check-in will be at the 50 yard line. Check-in for field events is at the field event site, 30 minutes prior to the event.

We have separate Long jump and Triple jump runways. Only high jumpers are inside the oval. There will be weigh-ins again this year. Weigh-Ins for the throwing events and Pole Vault will take place from at the respective event area.

Throws are on Russell Field across the road from the Softball field.

Field Events will be run by Mansfield student-athletes and coaches. We have hired a professional timing company with a Finish Lynx System.

Scratches only the day of the meet replacements are allowed in relays.

Medals for 1st-, 3rd, Ribbons 4th-8thand MVP for the meet, as well as Trophys for the top two teams will be awarded.
