CHSAA Weight/Novice Championships
Meet Instructions

Event Rule: An athlete may compete in a maximum of 2 events.

Scoring: 6-4-3-2-1

Awards: Top 3 Teams receive Plaques in Novice
One plaque in weight meet
Top 3 Individuals receive Medals
Top 3 Relay Teams receive Medals

Uniform Rule: All athletes must were a school issued uniform. Tops must have the school name clearly displayed and shorts must be worn.
Batons: Supplied by the meet.

Stickers: All individual running and field events.

Starting Heights: 4 6 for the Midget High Jump
48 for the Junior High Jump
48 for Novice High Jump
60 for Novice Pole Vault

Athletes in individual running events and field events should have a sticker. PLEASE USE THE STICKER PROVIDED AT THE MEET AS THEY ARE BARCODED. Numbers are assigned through the ny.milesplit.com roster. If your athlete does not have a number, he will be assigned one after participating in the meet. Simply write their name and school on a blank sticker. Anchor legs do not need stickers.

Weight certification: Athletes that weighed-in at the relay carnival do not need to weigh-in again. An official will conduct weigh-ins from 4:30-5:30 the day of the meet for additional athletes. Only athletes certified at the relay carnival or at this meet may compete in weight class events.
Weight classes 110&under:Submidget, 111-120 Midget, 121-130 Junior

Please be sure about the Novice status of your athletes. Athletes that have won a varsity medal or a Novice Medal at the indoor novice meet or outdoor relay carnival are not eligible for novice events in this meet.
