New York is no slouch in the throws, routinely putting athletes onto the podium at National Competitions.  While the Weight Throw may be our newest event, Shot Put has been there since the beginning, and the depth of the All-Time lists is a testament to that.

It's the beginning of Outdoor, and we're still looking for our first 60-foot put for the Boys Shot.  It's a tradition we've had in NY since 2009, and there are plenty of athletes looking to get there.  For the boys, it's the mark of distinction in the throws.

But what mark does it take to separate you from the 1000's of throwers across the State?  We set out to answer that question.  We took the Top 50 throwers in each grade, then averaged their marks together.  That means you are "Above Average" for you grade, and on the path to be "Great."
