Bridgette Ingram Joins Manhattan Track & Field Staff

RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Bridgette Ingram has been hired as an assistant track & field coach at Manhattan College.  A two-time ECAC champion in the heptathlon, Ingram will work primarily with the Jaspers' jumpers.

"I'm very excited about working with younger athletes and helping them reach their goals," Ingram said.  "I'll be able to work with our student-athletes on different things that have helped me be successful in my own career."

Ingram is a 2003 graduate of Seton Hall University, where she won three straight Big East indoor pentathlon championships (2001-03).  Ingram also won a pair of Big East outdoor titles in the heptathlon (2002-03), setting a meet record with 5231 points in 2002.  In addition, she earned back-to-back ECAC heptathlon titles in 2002-03 and competed in the 2003 NCAA Outdoor Championships.

The runner-up in the pentathlon at the 2007 USATF Indoor National Championships, Ingram represented the United States in the heptathlon at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico.  She was also a member of the American team that competed at a meet in the Netherlands in 2006.

"Bridgette is going to be able to help us in a number of events because of her background in the heptathlon," Head Coach Dan Mecca said.  "She's also familiar with the metropolitan area from being at Seton Hall, which will help our recruiting in New Jersey."
