HAMILTON, N.Y. (2/2/10) – Colgate University sophomore Elise DeRoo (Newtown, Conn.) was named the Patriot League Female Runner of the Week following her performance at the Class of '32 Invitational. This is the first indoor track award for the Raiders this season.

DeRoo earned the Katie Almeter Most Valuable Player award after winning the mile with a personal-record time of 5:00.85. DeRoo's time is the fastest in the Patriot League this season.

DeRoo was also the anchor leg of the Distance Medley Relay team that finished first with a time of 12:24.66, the second best time in the Patriot League this season.

The Raiders return to the track on Feb. 6 at the Syracuse Invitational.
