Girls Class S
Bloomfield appears to have enough depth in the sprints, relays, and field events to take the Class S championship, as a virtual score of the top six teams from seedings has it at Bloomfield 68, Immaculate 46, East Hampton 40, Stonington 40, Old Saybrook 34, Somers 31.
Two of the top athletes here are CT's top distance runner of Rachel St. Germain of Somers who is the favorite in the 1000-1600-3200 triplet if she chooses to take them all on, and Bloomfield's D'Jior Delisser who is the big favorite in the high jump, a co-favorite in the long jump, and is also among the top sprinters for the 55m if she chooses to enetr there instead of a relay. Weaver's Anna Sasha Jones is in the running for a 55m-300m double, though Stonington's Nancy Inthasit comes in witth the best mark in the 55m. Other athlete's to watch for are Immaculate's Lauren Manning as a big favorite in the 600m and CT #3 ranked long jumper Sarayah Winborne of Capital Prep, who should have a great duel with Delisser there.
