CIAC State Open Recap

Boys Jumps and Vaults

Only Wilby's Messiah Harling won his event, the triple jump, as a top seed. But again, all of the winners were highly ranked. Maxson Pierre Louis of NFA had gone 6-4 a couple times in the high jump, but he got a PR of 6-6 at the Open to claim the title. Weston's Matthew Bigelow was 2nd seeded to RHAM's Patrick Oatman in the pole vault, but he pushed his outdoor PR up a foot to capture the title at 15-6. Israel Henriques-Setho of Hall was seeded 2nd by only a quarter inch in the long jump, but at the Open he set a PR by more than 4 inches to take the win by an inch over Seymour's Joshua Lanzieri..
