The steeplechase is a natural for Beastly performances, and Brianna Nerud's time of 6:33.85 in 2012 though it was slightly behind Mary Kate Anselmin's meet record from 2011 was run in the Beastliest ever conditions at States on a flooded track in a driving rain.
