In the battle of top-seeded and reigning champ Mari Noble versus fellow junior Chloe Scrimgeour who owned the best time among the lineup of 3200 runners, it was Scrimgeour who had the biggest day by running more than 10 seconds below her PR to finish in 10:47.72. Noble was almost ten seconds back in 2nd but still lowered her indoor PR from last year's Open win by more than three seconds. Elizabeth Stockman had qualified for all three Open distance events but wisely scratched from the 1600m and ran far back of her 2nd seeded 1000m pace to save some energy for a 3rd place 3200m finish. Sophomore Ava Graham won the battle with seniors Jenna Zydanowicz and Alessandra Zaffina for 4th. In other events, Noble anchored the championship Greenwich 4x800m team, Zydanowicz was 2nd in the 1600m and anchored the 3rd place Danbury team, and Zaffina anchored the 6th place Trumbull squad.
