Boys 4x400m Relay

That Bloomfield won the 4x400m race from the unseeded third section wasn't a big surprise since the Warhawks were the top ranked team in the state. The East Lyme girls SMR team accomplished the same feat last year, but no team had done it for the guys since 2016 when in the midst of a spate of DQ's and DNF's that knocked out six teams from the top two sections of the 4x200m, West Haven had incredibly won from the first section. Bloomfield's 3:29.87 was well ahead of Bristol Central's time in its incredible stretch run to claim the final race of the day by .003 over Glastonbury. Hand and Darien were pulled along by Bloomfield in the third section to take 4th and 5th, Ellington was 6th.
