Jack Martin was the favorite coming in, but the sophomore exceeded expectations by lowering his PR by another .66 to 4:19.66, again making a lot of us wonder what happened in CT about sixteen years ago to create this high-flying Class of '22. Second seed Alec Sauter finished in 2nd with a big PR of 4:20.44, and Azaan Dawson also lowered his PR by a second and a half for 3rd, while Austin Hutchens lopped off more than five seconds to place 4th. Killian McNamee and Nate Davidson finished the scoring parade.
