Girls Pole Vault
Meet Record: 12-6, Paige Martin 2020, formerly 12-0.5 State Record: 12-9
The girls pole vault finished way way after all the other Open events both because the boys PV action stretched out and there were 21 contestants here who all made at least one height. In the very late end, the result looked a lot like last year with reigning champ Paige Martin copping another crown with again a meet record of 12-6, but this time making three close attempts at the state record of 12-9. Like last year, Elise Russell and Mallory Malz were 2nd and 3rd, but this time they soared a foot higher as Russell cleared 12-0 and Malz went to 11-0. Martin's sister Madison was 4th again this year but a half foot higher at 10-6, winning a tie with Cate Coppes and Hannah Elliot on misses.
