Last year Michael Browning won with a toss of 59-4.5, and this year Michael Campbell popped a throw of the same distance in the S meet to get a PR and by far the top seed for the Open. The top eight guys in the Open last year were seniors, but L winner Gary Moore Jr. is the top returner from last year and has a top mark of 54-5 and L runner-up Davon Colon has gone to 55-5. Marcus Ramsey, Ethan Wilkie and Lewis Tuccio should all be pushing toward the 50' mark.
Record Hunt: Last week Mike Campbell threw more than 10 feet further than he did with a 10th place finish in last year's Open, so getting another three feet to break Andre Reid's 62-2 MR from 2001 might be in the realm of possibility for him this year.
