Long Jump

Meet Record: 18-4.25     Last Year's Winner:  Tess Stapleton (Fairfield Ludlowe) 18-0.25

55 Hurdles favorite and reigning champ Tess Stapleton of Ludlowe has gone almost a foot and a half further than her last year's winning mark with a 19-5.5 win at Yale. Around 2-3 feet back are a group that includes Brien McMahon's Peyton McNamara (17-6.25), Danbury's top duo of Giuliana Robles (17-4.75) and TJ-deprived Meilee Kry (17-1.5), Glastobury's Selina Soule (17-1), and Tia Stapleton (16-3.5) of Ludlowe like her sister.

High Jump

Meet Record: 5-06     Last Year's Winner:  Ally Lewis (Norwich Free Academy) 5-6*

Southington's Sydney Garrison finished in a three-way 2nd place tie behind repeat winner and meet record holder Ally Lewis last year, and this time she is the big favorite to succeed Lewis, and maybe at Lewis's meet record of 5-6, which Garrison reached in a 2nd at Yale. In the pack at 5-2 behind her are the Glastonbury duo of Kathryn DeSousa and Allison Schindler, and Ludlowe freshman Tia Stapleton, whose sister Tess was part of the trio of silver medalists behind Lewis in 2019 but is not doing the event this year.

Pole Vault

Meet Record: 11-8     Last Year's Winner:  Paige Martin (Norwich Free Academy) 11-3

NFA's Paige Martin has soared more than a foot above her last year's winning vault to get to 12-6, and her triplet comrade Madison Martin at 11-0 is 9" above her last year's 2nd place finish in the LL. Also at 11-0 is Glastonbury's Mallory Malz, while at 10-0 are the trio of Southington's Alexa Zaczynski, Hall's Sydney Golas, and NFA's Hannah Elliot.

Shot Put

Meet Record: 45.1     Last Year's Winner:  Trinity Cardillo (Southington) 39-6.5

Southington's Trinity Cardillo won last year by almost 3 feet, and this year the difference could be way more as she went to 43-0 at the Hillhouse Invite and almost matched that mark with a 42-10 with a 1st at Yale. One question mark here is that Cardillo does not have any results listed since Yale, more than a month ago. Rounding out the crew behind are Shelton's Sarah Ovesney (37-7.25), the Hall trio of Mira Mohler (36-11), Katherine George (36-0), and Dinaka Onoh (35-6.75), and Newtown's Sarah Nowacki (35-3.5).
