Long Jump

Meet Record: 23-10.5     Last Year's Winner:  Charles Smith (Milton) 23-9.5

Last year's 100m champ and long jump 5th place finisher Richmond Kwaateng of Lowell is focused only on the LJ this year, and he has a slight edge there this year from his 23-10 leap at MIAA E Div. 1. Acton-Boxborough's Adam Yang was a foot and a half back of Kwaateng there and is 11th seeded, but he's done 23-9.75 and was 4th last year, so this contest should be very close. Kwaateng's teammate David Ajama did 23-6.5 for a 3rd at Loucks, and Milton's Isiah Woodley   is at 23-0.5.

Triple Jump

Meet Record: 49-6     Last Year's Winner:  Nate Hobbs (St. John's Prep) 46-6

Six guys have topped 45 in the TJ, led in a big way by Romani Alicea of Southeastern at 46-4.5. Launching behind him are Lowell's David Ajama at 45-9.75, Naishaun Jernaigan of Putnam Vocational at 45-9.25, Eric Shimiyimana of Worcester Tech at 45-8, Worlf Malivert of Somerville at 45-1, and John Curtin of St. John's Prep at 45-0.25.

High Jump

Meet Record: 7-00.5     Last Year's Winner:  Charles Smith (Milton) 6-10

2018 runner-up David Ajama of Lowell comes in as the big favorite at 6-10. Seven guys have done 6-6 this year, and the guys seeded at that height include Worcester Tech's Emanuele Dokyi, Durfee's Cameron Rodgers, and Newton South's Danny Collins. Reigning champ Charles Smith comes in at 6-4.

Pole Vault

Meet Record: 16-7     Last Year's Winner:  Isaiah Powers (Westborough) 13-3

North Middlesex's Edward McCarthy has a big gap over the other contenders off of a 14-0 at MIAA W-C Div.1. Northfield Mount Hermon's Sean Damon is next at 13-6, and John Bai of Algonquin has gone to 13-4.

Shot Put

Meet Record: 67-10.75     Last Year's Winner:  Aiden Felty (Innovation Academy) 61-7

Innovation Academy junior Aiden Felty won by more than 5 and a half feet last year, and this year he has upped the ante with a 65-9.25 bomb at MIAA E Div. 4 that gives him more than a 10 and a half foot advantage over everyone else. In the throng behind Felty, four guys who have gone over 52 include Joe Rivers of Lunenburg at 55-3, Henry Sobieszczyk of Newton North at 53-7.75, and Beau Bernadeau of North Andover at 52-7.

Discus

Meet Record:  178-0     Last Year's Winner:  Matt McDermott (Andover) 169-1
Aiden Felty has the third best MA mark in the discus this season, but he will enter the MIAA seeded #1 in both the shot put and discus. His best discus throw this year of 156-3.5 is a little behind the 157-7 he threw last year at MIAA for 4th. Plymouth South's Andrew Zeoli is ranked 7th in the state but will be seeded 2nd at the MIAA at 147-3. Andrew Fleming of Acton-Boxborough is 3rd seeded at 145-5

Javelin

Meet Record:  209-11     Last Year's Winner:  Lucas Frost (Tewksbury) 179-10
Reigning champ Lucas Frost has pushed higher in his senior year and enters the MIAA with a best toss of 194-2. Alexander Weiler of Bridgewater Raynham is a dozen feet behind at 182-0, and three other guys who have gone further than 175 include Seth Cordeiro of Deighton Rehoboth, Nick Spoor of Concord, and Noah Singer of West Springfield.

Pentathlon

Meet Record:  3592     Last Year's Winner:  Manni Peri-Okonny (Wachusett) 3397

Jordan Williams (Brockton) finished 5th last year at 3114, but his 3504 at MIAA E D1 was a US #1, and he is the huge favorite this year. Cameron Rodgers of Durfee is the only other guy to have broken 3200 with the 3349 that he got for 2nd place behind Williams at MIAA E D1.
