Boys Distance

800m

Meet Record: 1:51.17     Last Year's Winner:  Theo Burba (Newton North) 1:54.61

Reigning champ Theo Burba comes in 3rd seeded but with the best time overall at 1:52.82. Top seeded Jon Diaz of Brookline also has better time than his MIAA seed mark off of his 1:53.29 at Weston Twilight. Burba's teammate Marco Leo has the third best mark of 1:53.81, Benjamin Gordon-Sniffen of Westhampton was 9th in 2018 and has the fourth best mark at 1:53.93, and Peter Diebold of Weston is at 1:55.05.

1 Mile

Meet Record: 4:05.14     Last Year's Winner:  Ryan Oosting (Arlington) 4:14.09

Reigning champ Ryan Oosting has had a more lightly scheduled senior year (though a tremendous battle to a 2nd in the Loucks 3200 is more on the heavy side), and he is focusing on just the 2 mile at the MIAA. Michael Griffin was 5th last year as a King Philip sophomore, and this year he comes in as the favorite off of a 4:16.44 in the MIAA E Div. 2 race. Franklin's Tyler Brogan is next with a 4:17.01 in the MIAA E Div. 1 after taking 4th last year. Three other contenders who were around 4:18 or under at divisionals include Matthew Kleiman of Concord Carlisle, Colby Zarle of Wellesley, and Peter Lopata of Pentucket.

2 Mile

Meet Record: 9:00.52     Last Year's Winner:  Ryan Oosting (Arlington) 9:06.17

Ryan Oosting will be defending his title in the 2 mile, and his converted time from the Loucks 3200 puts him at 8:55.90. Five likely guys for chase pack include Rishabh Prakash of Burlington at 9:11.82, William Chaffin of Concord-Carlisle at 9:16.94, Sam Acquaviva of Newburyport at 9:17.82, Lucas Aramburu of Brookline at 9:22.12, and Benjamin Burgess of Framingham at 9:25..07.
