Summary:  Last year Monroe-Woodbury had a relatively close 12 point win over Warwick and Middletown's Dana Lynch breezed to a dominating individual win. This year MW seems to have a much more comfortable edge going into the championship, while Warwick will have likely have a close battle with Washingtonville for the second spot. Sarah Trainor warmed up for Sectionals with a large-sized win at MHAL, and she is an overwhelming favorite after taking 3rd last year.

Summary:  Cornwall's powerful win over even Monroe-Woodbury at OCIAA has put them on the driver's seat not only at Sectionals but maybe for the States title. Last year 8th grader Kayla Schramm ran off with the individual title, but Cornwall 8th grader Karrie Baloga has separated herself from the pack this year and given the Dragons a big presence up top.
