Just in time for Halloween, we caught up with the Green Witches of Greenwich. Pronounced just like their mascots, this little town has been a big name in small school XC for quite some time. They've claimed 6 Team titles over the years, as well as three Individual State Titles, from two athletes. Last year, they were just three points away from claiming their 7th Team Title overall.
With just 259 kids in the school, Greenwich was bumped up to Class C at the State Meet, a place they've been before. But never before have they been so highly ranked against the State Overall. Ranked 4th in the overall State Rankings, Greenwich managed to place 7th in the Merge at the Manhattan Invite, the largest one day meet in the country.
With one of their best team's ever, another State title is on the line. Past that, there has been one thing that has eluded them. They have never placed in the Top 6 at the Federation Meet. With such a talented squad, some of which whom have been running together since Middle School, they look to do better than even that.
