New York Boys State Rankings - Week 4

Following Week of Saturday, October 6

Week 4 rankings scan through the results of at least eighteen meets that NY teams were visiting from as far south as NC all the way up to the near polar regions of Beaver River. The weekend between the McQuaid and Manhattan invites saw a lot of teams running partial or JV squads, and many teams especially out west were running at decidedly more relaxed paces than they did the weekend before against tougher competition. There is thus little movement in the rankings since few teams were in situations that seemed to warrant a big push.

A few meets did bring some heavy hitters into play head to head. East Aurora and Arlington battled it out at St. Anthony's and the Blue Devils won the scoring contest with tighter compression over an Admirals team that had a better speed rating. Washingtonville had the top results at Grout as the Wizards continued to weave some magic. Trinity ventured down to NJ to run in the top A race at the Shore Coaches meet and stayed atop Class C. Beaver River hosted a meet that it again completely dominated and it continued on its march in the quest for a state championship repeat.

This weekend will showcase the Manhattan Invitational and the usual clash of mega titans, but there will also be more than a dozen other meets kicking off around the state headlined by the always sizzling Burnt Hills invite.
