Chasing State Standards - What Are The Numbers To Beat?


As promised last year, the 2018 Indoor State Meet will now include At-Large relays for the first time, meaning the second place team at the Qualifier will also attend, granted they have met the State Standard within a set period of time.  The Outdoor State Meet has been doing so for quite some time, so it is a welcome addition to the Indoor Meet.  Much of the credit for the addition can be given to the extra lanes at the Ocean Breeze Track & Field Facility.  There should be minimal time added to the meet, with one extra heat per the longer races, at most.

Many of the old standards have remained the same.  They are typically drawn as the average 6th place finishing mark, averaged over the past five years.  There seems to be no major adjustments so far.
