Why: While there might be a smaller list of favorites here, it doesn't mean the event won't be competitive. Christina Warren (Perkiomen Valley, PA) leads the seeds, but only just. She holds a personal best of 8.00 in the short hurdles, nearly matching the 8.04 best from local Chibugo Obichere (Valley Stream South). The two are set to head off the final, pending their safe progression through the trials. Rounding out the podium slots would be Reanda Richards (West Essex, NJ), who brings in a respectable marks of 8.29.
