Girls Triple

Why: Typically, when you have a 40-foot jumper in the field, you'd be hard pressed to find much competition for them. Not the case for Christina Warren (Perkiomen Valley, PA) this weekend, as the field has plenty in the way of challengers. Chief among them is Samantha Lopes (Wallkill Valley, NJ), who brings her best of 39-7.25 to the table. Also in the mix is New York's Bronze Medalist last spring, Mia Abulencia (Half Hollow Hills West), who has hit 38-11.
Along with the known, we have the unknown. Freshman Jayla Bernard (Saint Basil Academy, PA) has only jumped four times in her HS career, but already carries a best of 37-1. With so much untapped potential, who knows what good competition could unleash.
