Girls 2-Mile
On paper, this seems like there is one seed above the field. That's Lauryn Heskin (Marymount), who went 10:04 as an eighth grader last year, in the 3K. She has nearly a thirty second lead on the rest of the field over the 3,000m distance.
Behind her, there becomes more questions. Long Island is sending a strong crew, as Sarah Connelly (Mt. Sinai) has a 10:26 best in the 3K, and Catherine Farrell (Smithtown) had a breakout XC campaign this fall.
We'll keep our eyes open for any surprises here.
