Why Watch: The Spencerport senior has been to States before, but has always been just outside the scoring positions. It would seem the fall's training session is paying dividends, as Palermo is now the National Leader in the Weight Throw. His mark is a new Section 5 Record, as well as NY #17 All-Time in the event. Can he crack the magical 70-foot barrier? Only time will tell. But with Vanessa Watson on the girls side, they may be the only school in the state to grab a State Title in both genders.
