Manlius Grabs 3 Of 4 Titles, Katelyn Tuohy Continues Record Season - NXN-NY Recap

Boys Team

As unpredictable as the girls, the boys race provided plenty of drama.  Billed as a three way-tie heading into the meet, Manlius showed improvement in their two week training block.  Most notable was the jump by Brennan to the lead, but their 6th man, Matt Tripp, also jumped up about 7 speed rating points.  He was needed, as their usual 5th man had faded, and the interchangeability proved essential.

The race for second was still up in the air at halfway.  Corning was running well through four runners, but allergies spurred by unusually warm weather were taking a toll on their fifth.  Likewise, Burnt Hills saw issue with their race leader from Feds a week earlier, dealing with a sickness the night before, much like Toga's Chmiel.  In the end, it was Corning who weathered the storm best, making their first trip, and the first for Section 4, out to Portland for NXN.
