A New Slew Of Faces To Fight For Podium Top At The New York Federation Championship

Girls Team Race

Breakdown: There is plenty of history on the line here.  Shenendehowa may have only won Sectionals three times, but they have never won a Federation Title.  There have been years where they have been in strong contention, but never before had they been the favorites.  Here, they are, but with some caveats.  Saratoga has had two weeks worth of training since they last met up, and are rested and ready to go and defend their legacy at the meet.  Since 1988, Saratoga has only finished outside the Top 2 in this event twice, a run that includes 22 outright wins.  They should not be counted out.

Shen had a rough time of it at the State Meet, and that brought North Rockland a lot closer to the front in the merge scoring.  Because these scores were based more on Sectionals, NR drops back a bit, but could very well make that jump once again, and steal a win, as they did last year.  With the projected winner, North Rockland need only focus on their back-four.
