Olympic Gold Medalist Dalilah Muhammed Joins Armory Track & Field Camp Next Week


The inaugural Armory Indoor Track & Field Camp for high school students grades 9-12 will be held November 18 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Top coaches overseeing the camp at the New Balance Track & Field Center include 2004 Olympic long jump champion Dwight Phillips; 1997 National Federation of High Schools Athletic Association's Cross Country Coach of the Year Tim St. Lawrence; five-time Team USA National Coach and 2016 Armory Track Coaches Hall of Fame Inductee Lisa Morgan-Richman.

UPDATE: We are very pleased to annouce that 2016 Olympic Gold Medalist in the 400m Hurdles, Dalilah Muhammed, has joined our staff for the event!

"We feel this is a unique opportunity to bring together renowned coaches and elite professional athletes to share their knowledge with enthusiastic high school student-athletes," said Aaron Robison, Assistant Director of Track and Field at The Armory. "The Armory wants to further build on the key role it plays in the development of young local athletes."

The camp will run for one day on the famed Armory Track where high school student-athletes will benefit from interaction with track & field's premier instructors. This is the first track & field camp of its kind in the Northeast.

Campers will also receive an Armory Indoor Track & Field camp T-shirt and a booklet that includes drills, training plans, and best practices in all events.
