Fast Runners:  Kelsey Chmiel (Saratoga) - 153,   Abigail Spiers (Niskayuna) - 139, Hannah Reale (Shenendehowa) - 136, Faith Demars (Ballston Spa) - 132, Olivia Lomascolo (Shenendehowa) - 130, Rachel Hodge (Bethlehem) - 127, Charlotte Hartman (Shenendehowa) - 126, Ciara Knott (Saratoga) - 125, Hannah Belleville (Shenendehowa) - 120, Liyat Kebbede (Niskayuna) - 119

Summary:  Shenendehowa is poised to break Saratoga's 17 year streak of Sectional titles after winning the Suburban Council race, as the top A (or AA) team has won the race for the biggest S2 class for every year in the 2000s on both the boys and girls side. Saratoga was only 11 points behind at Suburban, and Niskayuna was 17 back, so the potential for a barn-burner between the top three teams is a strong possibility. Kelsey Chmiel won last year's race comfortably and should do so again this year even though she is running against a talented field that includes Abigail Spiers, Hannah Reale, and Faith Demars.

Summary: Burnt Hills should win another Sectional title and has a chance to improve on last year's 4th place States finish if it gets there, but Mohonasen has a strong top 3 and could challenge the BH-Spartans hard. Rory Graham took 3rd last year and is the top returning S2-B runners, but Olivia Lazarou won at Foothills Council and will be highly in the mix here.
