This Year's Outlook
Everything fell together last year for the Patriots as they packed five runners between the 9th and 18th spots while winning their fourth Sectional title in 12 years. Frontrunner Abby Waromski graduated, but Ward Melville returns the rest of its top 6 and should be among the leaders in the chase for this year's S11-A battle.

This Year's Outlook
A storied program may be moving back into the higher standings as the Bees have four of their top 5 back from last year's S3-A 4th place team. States finalist Holden-Betts will be leading a veteran team that could move up for a Federation berth this year.

This Year's Outlook
Everyone is back from last year's 3rd-place Sectionals team that included States finalists Sarah Flynn and Haley McLean, so with some reinforcements the Koalas should be able to challenge for a title they last won in 2008 during the 5-class era. But S1-A should be pretty deep this year, and even to vie for 2nd, Ursuline will need to get stronger in the 5-6 spots to support the top four squad members who all placed in the top 20 in last year's Sectionals..

This Year's Outlook
With virtually a dead heat in the preseason ratings between Elmira and Ithaca and with Corning not far behind, the S4-A battle may be very tight and will require the Express to build up a little more speed to regain the title they last won two years ago. Junior Taeli Quanz is back with States experience from last year, and the familiar pack aorund her includes Reilly Tubbs, Casey Roman, and Olivia Lovejoy. A 5th runner for the pack could well include freshman Lizzie Ostrander if track results are any indication.

This Year's Outlook
The Flying Dutchmen appear to have lost the top three from last year to injuries or other causes, so this year will be a rebuilding project in the tough S2-A division. Seniors Hannah Gallagher and Erin Miceli provide the base for younger runners to develop around.
