Tahje Flemmings Lowers Own 300m Freshman State Record

Armory, NYC - Just three days after the New York State Meet, and its the last chance for athletes to be attacking State Records at the traditional distances.  New Balance Nationals events are raced at the Collegiate Distances, so it would be the last 300m of the season at the PSAL Frosh/Soph Champs.

That's when frosh Tahje Flemmings took a swing at his own Frosh State Record, lowering the mark nearly a full second.  The Benjamin Banneker rookie went 35.37 the first weekend of December.  He book-ended his season with the same record, clocking a 34.69 to win the event at the Frosh/Soph Champs.  The mark makes him the top freshman in the country over the 300m distance, surpassing Bullis' Ashton Allen, the MD prep who went 35.01.  The mark was just short of Willie Reed's 34.58 National Record, set back in 1985.
