State of the Action: Like the 1600m, it's Section 1 leading the way in the distance events. They take the Top 3 slots after a strong qualifier, with Ryan Gallagher leading the State. Sam Morton is less than half a second off him, and could flip the script at States. They are currently the only athletes who have broken 9:20.00. There are some other names to look out for, however, despite the seeds. Patrick Perry, Paul Dellinger, and Nathan Lawler are all NXN-Finalists. Not only that, but the State and Regional Champion Ty Brownlow is also in the field. With the 3200m being the direct path for most XC athletes, you can expect all of those names to be in contention when the time comes. | |||||
