State of the Action: With an event as tricky as the High Jump, seeds mean little when they are that close. On paper, My' Khiyah Williams is slated to take home her first state title. Despite the incorrect listing, she is only a sophomore, and set plenty of State Records on her way up through Middle School. However, Kendall Bensche was here last year, taking 5th overall. Olivia Gervan was there too, taking 4th, as the top returner for the meet. Bensche gets the nod only because the travel time to the venue doesn't affect her as much, but it is still up in the air (no pun intended) for all seeds within the vicinity of the lead. | |||||
