Sophomore State Record In The 55m Goes Down On MLK Jr. Day

Armory, NYC - While many may just have the day off from school, the PSAL holds their annual Martin Luther King Relays every second monday of the new year.  2017's rendition will be extra special, because a new name has hit the record books.

Running the 55m final, Michael Miller of Christopher Columbus ran a State Leading 6.38 to win the competition.  Not only is the time now tied for US #5, it's also the fastest time for Sophomore's in the country.  The mark also qualifies Miller as the 20th fastest NY Athlete All-Time in the 55m.

*Note - Tyrese Cooper of FL has also run 6.38, and is a sophomore, but turns 17 next week, giving him a significant age gap on normal sophomores.
