Dear Coaches,

We would to thank you for joining us at the 2017 Ocean Breeze Freedom Games. We can't believe how much this meet has grown in its second year.  Because of the size of the meet, we made adjustments to the time schedule. Next year, we will be looking at the possibility of making this a two day meet. Please be sure to review the time schedule that is attached and well as review the heat sheets. We ask you to make sure you inform your athletes what section (red, white or blue), heat and lane for each of their races. In the Freshman and Sophomore Spring Medley Relays the 800 Meter leg will now lead off (800-200-200-400). With a combination of incredible athletes and a fantastic facility, we expect amazing performances to be achieved at the meet.

All events are broken down into division; Red, White, and Blue. Please make sure your athletes are aware of what division they will be competing in. The divisions will allow all athletes to warm-up correctly and not have to sit in the clerking areas for an extended period of time.

In all field events, only those athletes in the Red division will be eligible to compete in the finals. Please carefully check the heat sheets and bring any problems or concerns to our attention by Wednesday.

All initial clerking will take place on the ground level of the complex at the end of the warm-up track. During first call the athletes will report to the clerking table to pick up their hip numbers. Once all athletes are checked in and hipped they will then be moved to the secondary staging area on track level prior to their event.

Starting blocks are only allowed in the finals and will be supplied by the facility. No outside starting blocks may be used.

Field event athletes should check in at the field event when the event is called.  In the Shot Put and Weight through all first throws will be measured.  After that there will be a minimum of 35' for boys and 30' for girls.

The track will be open for warm-up from 7:30 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. after that time all warming up should be completed on the ground level warm-up track, across the street on the boardwalk or greenway, or in the trails of Ocean Breeze Park.

Only 1/4" pyramid spikes are permitted at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. Athletes will be able to purchase the correct spikes at the spike check table for $5.00.
