State of the Action: Katherine Lee wouldn't let anything stand in her way.  She had tasted both victory and defeat at a Cross Country State Meet, and she knew which one she preferred.  With plenty of capable athletes in the field, she left nothing to chance, and pulled away at one mile.  She never let go of the pace, crossing the line with emphasis.  She was the only girl to break 18mins outside of the Class A race, showing the top girls should watch out come Feds.
