Sauquoit Valley Guys Vie for Title in Class D (2004 Class C Winner)
Sauquoit Valley's John Nicotera (no. 336) will not be around to help lead the Indians this year like he did in 2004, but Dylan Canarelli will be filling in for him at the top. That's South Lewis's Josh Arthur at left leading Nicotera as they crossed the line 2nd and 3rd in the C race.
The Skinny: Until last year, the Indians had not been back to States since their 2004 triumph at Chenango Valley in Class C. Now they are down in D, and after a 3rd place finish last year, Sauquoit Valley is among the top 3 favorites on Saturday. Repeating their 50 point win in 2014 might be a bit of a stretch for the Indians though.
