Bronxville Girls Buck for Title in Class C (2004 Class C Winner)
Samantha Stedman of Sauquoit Valley (no. 370) will not be leading the Class C race against Bronxville this year, but Kaitlin Ryan is expected to be running near the top for the Broncos.
The Skinny: The Broncos moved up to Class C in 2004 with the switch to the five-class system, and they proceeded to win 8 of the next 10 States crowns, ending it off by capturing their 6th title in a row in 2013. This year Bronxville is definitely in the hunt in a competitive Class C even if it is not the favorite. Back in 2004 the 2nd place team to the Broncos by 13 points was Greenwich, a frequent sparring partner for Bronxville at States thereafter. This year Greenwich is one of the two favorites to win the Class D title, and the Witches' absence from Class C brings some relief to this year's C contenders.
