Lauryn Heskin Takes Down 25 Year Old Record

7th Grader Lauryn Heskin is back at it again, breaking State Records on the track.  Earlier this year, Heskin took down the 7th Grade State Record for the Indoor 3000m, while putting together a nice sub-3min 1000m as well.  Her range continues outdoors, as Heskin moved up to the rarely run 5000m distance, breaking the former record by over 30secs. The former record was held by Kate Landau of Tri-Valley, set in 1989.  Landau went on to set the then-State Record in the Two Mile, both indoor and out, later in her High School career.
