NYPA Invitational Saturday April 11, 2015 at Windsor
28 Schools came out to brave the wind and cold weather with some outstanding early season perfomances.
The Girls Team Title:
The girls team title had 5 Schools within 9 points with Elmira Notre Dame winning with 64 points followed by Ithaca 62, Vestal 60, Elmira 57 and Binghamton 55. Notre Dame was lead by the 4x100 relay team of Juliana Bunnell, Cassie Ellis, Megan O'Dell and Victoria Schutrum 1st. Their 4x800 relay team of Allegra Dawes, Laurel Vargas, Claire Kubinski and Emma Booth took 2nd, Mia Herlan took 2nd in the 400 hurdles, Anna Lackner was 2nd in the discus, Deborah Diarra was 3rd in the 400, Emma Booth was 3rd in the 800 in 2:33.51 while Allegra Dawes was 5th, Diarra was 4th in the 200 while Schutrum took 5th, Laurel Vargas was fourth in the 3000, Mia Herlan taking 4th in the high jump and Chase Yoder was 5th in the 1500.
The Boys Team Title:
Vestal won easily with 88 points followed by runner up Ithaca with 60 and Elmira took third with 56.50. Vestal top perfomances were 110H 1st Dylan Hunt, 400H 1st Kyle Kulp, 200m 1st Dylan Hunt, 4x100m 1st Dylan Hunt, Kyle Kulp, Warren Chan, Justin Dennis, 110H 2nd Chris Murphy, 400H 2nd Chris Murphy, 3000m SC 5th Josh Lewis, 400m 5th Matt Furminger, 4x400m 2nd Chris Murphy, Matt Furminger, Rani Marhaba, Kyle Kulp. 800m 2nd Rani Marhaba, PV 3rd Yohannes Stromhaug, 4th Josh Lewis.
